Teachers Resources: Each participant receives free STEM-focused 3D printable files for classroom use

Lesson Outline:
In this presentation, participants will receive an information-packed crash course introduction into 3D printing, and its applications in the classroom.  Participants will learn more about the different types of 3D printing technology available.    A variety of 3D Design tools, and several FREE online 3D model repositories will also be discussed.  This presentation will also provide an overview of how to move 3D models from the digital realm to the physical, using 3D printing.  A brief overview of  3D model slicing software will be provided.  The session ends with a discussion on several ways that these resources can be leveraged in the classroom.

Outcomes / Take-Aways:
1) Understand the benefits of the use of various 3D design software and 3D printing resources in education.
2)Understand some of the various players and platforms in the 3D design and 3D printing landscape.
3) Understand where to go to get free, easy to use, 3D design and 3D printing resources for your classroom.
